VCCA (Virginia Center for the Creative Arts), an Artist Residency at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the center of the state of Virginia, is opening its doors for an artist from either Occitanie or Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Professional artists from the Southwest are invited to apply for a complimentary (free of charge) residency at VCCA, who is, among Artists Residencies, one of the most respected in the world. At VCCA, artists come to create in a place far away from the stress and activity of their daily lives

The artist selected will be provided with a residency of up to one month at VCCA in Virginia. They will be provided with a private studio, a private bedroom, and three prepared meals each day in a community of 25 other writers, composers and visual artists from across the USA and around the world. VCCA is in beautiful countryside less than an hour by car from Monticello, the famous residence of Thomas Jefferson. Nearby cities include Lynchburg (25 km), Charlottesville (80 km), and Washington, DC (240 km).

All meals and lodgings are included, but the selected artist will be responsible for their travel costs to and from VCCA, art materials and supplies, and for their personal expenses.
